Welcome to Voxtral. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Voxtral speech AI platform, including our website, API services, and open-source software (collectively, the "Service"). By using our Service, you agree to these Terms.

Voxtral is an open-source speech AI project licensed under Apache 2.0. These Terms apply to our hosted services, while the open-source software is governed by the Apache 2.0 license.

By accessing or using Voxtral's services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use our Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Voxtral. We may update these Terms from time to time, and your continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of any changes.

3.2 Prohibited Use

You may not use Voxtral to:

• Process audio without proper consent from speakers

• Infringe on intellectual property rights

• Exceed rate limits or abuse our infrastructure

Voxtral's core software is licensed under the Apache License 2.0. This means you can:

• Use the software for any purpose, including commercial use
• Modify and distribute the software
• Patent use (subject to license terms)
• Private use without disclosure requirements

5.1 API Access

Our hosted API service is provided on a pay-per-use basis at $0.001 per minute of audio processed. API access requires authentication and is subject to rate limits.

5.2 Service Availability

We strive to maintain high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may perform maintenance, updates, or modifications that temporarily affect service availability.

5.3 Data Processing

Audio data sent to our API is processed for transcription and related services. We do not store audio data longer than necessary for processing, typically less than 24 hours.

Your privacy is important to us. Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information. By using our Service, you also agree to our Privacy Policy.

For self-hosted deployments, you maintain complete control over your data. No data is sent to our servers when using self-hosted instances.

You retain ownership of your audio content and any transcriptions generated. Voxtral retains ownership of our software, models, and related intellectual property, subject to the Apache 2.0 license for open-source components.

You grant us a limited license to process your audio data solely for the purpose of providing transcription services.

8.1 Service Disclaimer

Voxtral is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. While we strive for high accuracy, speech recognition technology is not perfect and may contain errors.

8.2 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Voxtral shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.

You may terminate your use of our Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your access to our hosted services for violations of these Terms or for any other reason with reasonable notice.

Termination does not affect your rights to use the open-source software under the Apache 2.0 license.

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where Voxtral is incorporated, without regard to conflict of law principles.
